1984 - Erica Blasberg is born on July 14th,
weighing 7 pounds, 8 ounces in Orange County, CA.
1988 - Receives her first set of golf clubs.
1989 - Begins kindergarten. Takes first golf lesson
and learns about grip, stance and swing.
1993 - Enrolls in junior golf competition and breaks
90 at the tender age of nine.
1996 - Erica's first golf victory comes at the
Newport Beach Country Club. She attends her first
LPGA event a month later and eventually sets a goal
to someday join the tour.
1997 - Breaks par for the first time at the age of
13, shooting a 71.
1998 - Begins classes at Corona High School.
Competes on the varsity boys' golf team, earning
all-league honors as a frosh. Joins AJGA and later
is named to the AJGA All-American team.
1999 - Wins first AJGA event in Seattle. Reaches
round of 16 in the US amateur. Named to the AJGA
All-American team for junior golf.
2000 - Medalist in USGA Junior Girls Championship.
Member of the US Izzo Cup team that defeated Europe.
Named to the AJGA All-American team.
2001 - Named to the AJGA All-American team. MVP of
the Mountain View Golf Leage for boys. Accepts a
scholarship to the University of Arizona.
2002 - Competes on the US Cannon Cup team. Graduates
from Corona High School with honors. Enters school
at the University of Arizona and wins her first
tournament in only her second event.
2003 - Finishes her freshman campaign as the
nation's best golfer. Wins NCAA freshman of the
year. Wins Pac-10 player of the year honors and
makes the NCAA All-American team.
2004 - Finishes the season as the country's third
ranked player. Makes the NCAA All-American team.
Helps the US defeat Great Britain as a member of the
Curtis Cup. Earns an amateur berth to the LPGA US
Open. Decides to forgo her final two years of
college and turn professional. Hires prominent
Newport Beach, CA sports attorney Leigh Steinberg as
